The Greenwood Quire sings and plays choral items, including West Gallery pieces, that were popular in the church of the 19th century and earlier, some uniquely from music masters who travelled around the local area and brought compositions to villages nearby.
The Quire evokes an experience of the time: an agricultural community, un-mechanised and largely unchanged for hundreds of years, and the music that helped to express the religious sentiments of farming people.
